Did You Buy a Lemon?

When you buy a used car, you expect that it could have a few minor problems. You may take the car dealer at their word about the vehicle’s maintenance history, mileage, title and accident history. You might even open the hood and check under the chassis for yourself. The last thing that you expect when you drive the vehicle off of the dealership’s lot is to have it break down within a few days or weeks.

A used car that turns out to not be what the dealer said it was is a “lemon.” A lemon car might have been advertised as having 90,000 miles, but it may actually have thousands more. Perhaps the dealer told you that it had a clear title, but perhaps it was actually a salvage title. It is also possible that the car dealer told you that their mechanics had gone over it with a fine-toothed comb, changed its oil and rotated the tires. If the car started smoking from its engine a mile away, you know that this is not the case.

We work to protect your rights. California Lemon Law protects you from these cons and scams. Our California lemon law attorney reviews your documents and does some investigating on your behalf. We can represent you in court or negotiate with the car dealer for remuneration.
